Course Reflection:

As a member of my school's technology committee, many of the ideas that were presented in this course have been beneficial as we look at where the school is at in terms of technology, what we can do to maintain our technology, and also areas we can look at as we move forward with improving the technology we have available.  Specifically, we focused on evaluating technology plans and software evaluation.

Any carefully planned introduction of technology in an educational program must include an evaluation component that assesses the impact that the initiative has on student learning and school improvement.  This course will apply the processes of student assessment and program evaluation to determine the outcomes of an educational technology application.  We will assess the relevance of abroad section of evaluation criteria and address how evaluation might be applied to determine both the formative and summative outcomes of student learning through technology use.

 Collaboration

-    Using theory-based knowledge to better school manuscripts

-    Created a Reaction paper.

Because the course is used as a means of evaluating and assessing a technology plan, collaboration was key.
