How Theme Was Met

This course provides an overview of the application of teaching and learning theories for diverse audiences.  The focus will be on creating learning environments that are learner-centered; emphasizing individual and technological approaches to the acquisition, processing, and application of information from a variety of sources.

 Collaboration

-   Paper created focusing on the new ways of learning

-    Paper created focusing on 21st Century Learning

-    Theory-based reading for K-12 staff

Collaboration was important in the creation of papers which were completed in groups.

 

Goals/Objectives:

  • Explore contemporary technology-supported teaching and learning theories.

  • Understand how theories of learning and models of teaching affect the use of technology and influence the approach to technology integration.

  • Use technology to design student-centered learning experiences which foster analytical, conceptual and creative thinking skills.

  • Examine issues that affect teachers and learner who will be suing technology to transform teaching and learning practices.
